I have a house I inherited from my Mom. I rent it out because I cannot afford to live in it. So I need rental insurance. Farmers insured my house for about 2 years and some of the shingles blew off. Farmers estimated and required me to replace the roof. The best price I could get was $5,000. Farmers, paid for 1/2 the roof as they said only part was damaged but I still was required to replace the entire thing in order to keep my insurance. Then I paid 1 year in advance. The agent I spoke to, said that was fine and I would save the monthly fees. Well, unbeknownest to me....they charged me! Then they transferred my account and the new agent said I had late fees and my bill was due a month before it was due! They wanted me to pay the next year a month early! Well, I did not want to do that but worred so I paid via phone. Got home....they had charged me almost double what I had been paying when I called the agent said they had to make up for the losses they had suffered during the last year. Wish I could do that and go to Vegas and demand I get my losses back! That is what they are gambling on! They are taking our money and betting nothing will happen and they will keep the money! Well I pay the money hoping nothing does also! Why should I pay more when they lose the bet??? To top it all off, I got another agency that will still insure my house and more on my property for the same cost I had been paying out the year before! So I took it and cancelled with Farmers' It took them a month of me fighting to get my refund and then they shorted me! Our of 977 dollars they gave me back 832 so far and now I have to pay an attorney to get the rest! YOU GAMBLE ON THEM. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM

Cancelled my insurance due to lack of communication regarding my policy. 2 months later I get a notice from a collection agency. When I cancelled, I owed nothing. They billed me for another cycle and when I didn't pay because I had other coverage they sent the bill to a collection agency.
