The food appearance on the bars leaves alot to be desired!!! On EVERY visit, I have to make my rounds and stir all the soups,chili, Mexican foods, and all other foods that can be stirred before I decide what I want to eat. I've asked the staff before if they had a microwave so I could heat up the food I've just taken from their holding pots/pans. It seems nobody is taking temperature checks according to Health Department standards which is opening up the possibility of food poisoning!!! If this is what's happening with food already on the bars just imagine what is going on in the back out of customers view!!! The Golden Corral restaurant at exit 7 off of I-81in Bristol Virginia is quite the opposite with the food quality far above standards, always clean with a courteous wait staff and management!! I've even witnessed the owner in Bristol, Virginia at exit 7 ( ROGER ) making continual rounds stirring the bar food items insuring the appearance of the food excedes customer expectations whereas John ( Kingsport TN, owner ) is rarely seen doing anything to keep his restaurant with great eye appeal!!!

Not as good as other Golden Corral locations. Could be because we went on a weeknight and at 7:30 pm! Food cold and out of several items. Would go again! Friendly service.
Today my husband and I decided to have our Thanksgiving meal at Golden Corral in Kingsport. At first we were worried as the parking lot was full, as well as the one next to the restaurant. We had a small wait to get a table, but that is to be expected with as busy as they were. However, I could not have been more impressed! There was a guy, possibly a manager, who was seating people as they came through, and he was on top of it! As we were seated, our server Rob immediately greeted us. Rob was by far the best server we have ever had while dining there. He was sure to check on all of his tables and quickly removing any dirty dishes and helping out his customers. For as busy as they were today, I was highly impressed by how clean the place was! This was definitely the best experience we have ever had there!
