Cosy quiet place for lunch. Sushi rolls 2 for $9 or 3 for $12 plus salad and soup with over 2 dozen rolls to choose from is a great deal. Hibachi grill a fun option for a big group at dinner. Fully stocked bar for mixed drinks. It's never very busy which is a shame considering the value and quality but it's a nice option for an occasional large party having trouble getting in at one of the busier places along Kingsport's restaurant row.

I can go for a quite sushi lunch. Have an intimate dinner with the wife in the dining area. Get food and drinks at the sushi bar. Or take the family for dinner at the hibachi, which my little one thinks it's a blast.

Ok, so the food here is very good and the atmosphere is pretty nice as well. But there is a reason this place has only a few cars when everywhere else is packed out with a 30 minute wait. The prices are just not worth it for what you get. Especially when you consider the other japanese steakhouses in town that are just as good but a lot cheaper.

So, unless everything else is packed out, stick with one of the other steakhouses like MOTO's. I'm sorry, but Wasabi's is just not worth the price.

We love taking our family of small children there. Very tasty food, quick seating, and entertainment for the kids. Plus, Jasmine tea!

There are certainly places to get more authentic Asian cuisine. It's American style Japanese food. But, that doesn't bother me. If that's your thing, look no further. Wasabi is a great example of that type of restaurant.

Also, whatever you do...DO NOT fall for the share a plate for $5 more option. Me and my wife tried that assuming we would get slightly more food than a regular chicken and yaki meal. If anything we got less. It was a joke. My daughter just got a chicken and rice meal and no kidding, she got nearly twice the amount of food we got for about $10 less!

I used to frequent Osaka 2 in Johnson City. The owners moved to this place about the same time I moved from JC to Kingsport. I was happy we relocated together.

The food was amazing. Our service was very friendly and patient with us because we couldn't make up our minds what we wanted and they didn't rush us. Food was delicious and even still good next day for lunch as leftovers. Will definitely be going back real soon. I recommend this to anyone who wants the best Japanese food.

They have a great sushi lunch special. They have a hibachi grill. But they are in a separate room. They have a regular bar and a sushi bar. No matter what situation I'm looking for "Japanese" food in, they fit the bill.
