I've been coming here for a long time and I've had no problems. Is there a wait? Yes. But that's what happens when you have walk-ins. If you're too irresponsible to schedule ahead of time, expect to wait like everyone else. The staff aren't rude. They just aren't there for conversation. There are tons of people and they're focused on sick animals and not hearing about your trip to Hawaii. The prices are very reasonable for proper treatment. I've paid more at other vets just to have my pets misdiagnosed or to be overcharged. The people here are always very generous and helpful. I've seen no money-grabbing.
Normally I have only good things to say about Indian Ridge, but my last visit I was a little upset by a remark made by the doctor. I took two kittens in that didn't seem to be real sick but were occasionally sneezing and coughing. These two kittens were born to a ferrel cat that is one of several I feed on my front porch in an area that is not highly populated and could be considered country. When the doctor noticed the cats had fleas she became very aggravated about it. I explained I lived in a rural area and fed many cats and could not afford flea medicine for all of them. Most of these cats are not even tame enough to touch. When I told her this she said I shouldn't be feeding the cats if I couldn't take care of them. I told her they had food, water and shelter and asked her what else she expected me to do. She told me to "just leave it to nature". From the tone of her voice I took this to mean let them die. The cats I can catch get either a flea bath, a very expensive flea spray or both if possible. When I asked if they had any type of financial aid she said no. I know for a fact they can at least charge a lower amount on the office visit because some of the other doctors have done that for me in the past. She split the office visit between both cats which made it appear lower but was still the same price. I have been going to Indian Ridge for several years and have not seen this before. I just was upset that she, as a doctor, imply that I let the animals die but yet was unwilling to help. If nothing else she should have suggested the pill they use there which is a 24 hour remedy and kills the fleas already on them and is quite inexpensive. I just felt she was very rude and uncaring. The other doctors I have worked with there have always been very nice and helpful. I did spray the cats once I got them home but I didn't mention this to her because they recommend not using flea spray on cats.
Excellent animal hospital and very reasonable. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
They are the best. Period. I wish they were located in Charleston.
Great vet. Wait is little bad, but you get that just at any busy animal hospital. We are repeat been coming here since I was a child.
