Impossibly hard to deal with. I wanted a simple therapist to talk to about stress related to my pregnancy and the receptionist at my referring OBGYN was told that Frontier Heath was the only provider who would accept my insurance, (which turned out to be false) and when I get to the office it is filled with people waiting for drug abuse therapy. Not the environment I was expecting AT ALL! On top of all that, appointments take weeks to obtain after a referral and they do not call with appointment reminders, (even though I had to sign a form saying they could) so tough luck if you have pregnancy brain or any other memory issues. And God forbid you are placed with a counselor that doesnt fit your needs. The form to change counselors apparently takes 14 days to be reviewed!! Unacceptable wait times for mental health care. If your doctor tells you that Frontier health is the only option for counseling through your insurance, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM!! Go to your health insurance provider's website, do a provider search and choose from literally any other counselor and ask to be referred to them instead. Even if you are on tenncare there are many other options for counseling in the area (I checked. 40+ providers for counseling near 37660 on the BCBS site accepting all forms of bluecare, tenncare select, ect.). I would give a negative rating if possible.
