There were plenty of outlets to charge devices for a family of 4. Outlets even have usb plugs so if you don't have your cube, you're still good to go!
Great hotel for the value. Can bring a pet for a small fee (like twenty bucks). Breakfast is good, has a waffle iron. Rooms are clean, amenities all functioned properly. Location is good in the grand scheme of things, but Google has no idea how to get you here. Put your GPS for the Dollar general next door (704 Lynn Garden Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660) or the Walmart and you won't get messed up.
Not the nicest motel I've ever stayed at, but I didn't expect it to be. It was reasonably clean, everything worked, no clogged drains, dead outlets, burned out bulbs, plumbing issues, etc. TV worked great, plenty of channels, good internet, great parking. The past issues of drug sales going down behind the motel seem to have been resolved.... yeah, a year or so ago I witnessed drugs being sold in the back parking lot and in the stair wells and demanded that the staff call police. They did and a couple of Kingsport's finest had a few dopes and mopes standing with their hands on the hood and the rest of the disappearing within 5 minutes. Staff was genuinely concerned with the issue then and I saw no signs of that activity on this visit. I shall return the next time I'm in town, price is good for the quality of the stay.
I have mixed feelings about this, comfort and quality wise it's by far the best super 8 I've stayed at, but I did see a couple tiny bugs on the night stand that made it a little questionable
The bathroom could've used some work, (shower head seemed old & clogged) There was some build up on the walls but it was nothing too bad to be concerned about. The one thing that I feel is worth mentioning is that the shower head was prob. about 5'5" from the ground, so if you're tall you may not be comfortable in the shower.
My room need repairs and better laundry there was hair all over my bed and the toilet ran and ran.
The parking spots in front of the rooms were a little tight together, but the parking lot itself isn't wide so there should be plenty of spots available close by.
I'd definitely stay here again.
Overall it was a very positive experience, close to several (mostly fast) food options, wal-mart, dollar general, and the freeway (the 26)...
The room itself was very clean, nicely setup, and comfortable. The bed was a little too firm but that may just be about personal preference. Also, the comforters were thin and stiff which made for a fairly uncomfortable and somewhat restless sleep.
The staff that I spoke with, were very friendly but the entire time I was there, there was no wifi. One of the employees said it was the local service provider so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt on that.
